Dr. Tahir Khan, DPM 

Dr. Tahir Khan, DPM is a leading foot and ankle surgeon, sports medicine physician and diabetic limb salvage expert. Dr. Khan speaks frequently at Medical research conferences both nationally and internationally and his research articles have appeared in several leading medical journals. Dr. Khan is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Khan received his education, clinical education and research training from several of the nation’s leading hospitals and institutions including the University of Wisconsin, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (North Chicago, IL), Rush University Medical Center (Chicago), Loyola University Medical Center (Chicago), Cook County Hospital (Chicago), Provident Hospital of Cook County (Chicago), Hines Veteran Affairs Hospital (Chicago), Jesse Brown Veteran Affairs Hospital (affiliate University of Illinois Chicago), North Chicago Veteran Affairs Hospital (Chicago), University of Chicago Hospital, Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR), Wisconsin Aquatic and Environmental Research Institute, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (affiliate Weil Medical School of Cornell University) and its affiliated sites including: Long Island Jewish- North Shore University Health Care System (Long Island, NY), Richmond University Medical Center (affiliate Mount Sinai College of Medicine) Staten Island, NY, St Joseph Hospital (Catholic Health Services, Long Island, NY) and Gramercy Surgical Center (Manhattan, NY).

From 2013-2014 Dr. Khan served as the Chief Resident Physician with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs- New York Harbor Healthcare System in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY. During that time Dr. Khan also received advanced foot and ankle surgical training both in adults and pediatrics at the Banner Desert Medical Center and Banner Children’s Hospital in Mesa, AZ.

Since his graduation from residency training Dr Khan has served as a lecturer/faculty member with the Department of Medical education at the Chicago Medical School where he teaches medical students comprehensive history and physical examination skills.

Dr. Khan is married and lives in the Milwaukee area. When not working Dr. Khan enjoys running, hiking and traveling. Dr. Khan also enjoys volunteering for various organizations and causes, including the American Red Cross and the Blood Centers of America. In 2013, due to his years of selfless volunteer services, Dr. Khan received the Nation’s highest volunteer service award from President Barack Obama.
